People from all over Brooklyn are ready to celebrate carnival week, and Saturday was the kids' chance to shine.
The annual Junior Carnival Parade brought children from all over the area strutting their stuff through the streets of Brooklyn.
The parade went to the Brooklyn Museum, where festivities continued with music, food, dancing and more.
A junior king and queen also were crowned.
Participants say being part of the parade is about bringing families together to celebrate where they came from.
