Public School 329 students are set to sport new, stylish uniforms with some help from New York Knicks player Stephon Marbury.
The school allowed students to redesign their uniforms with input from faculty members. Administrators say the old version was unpopular and they hope students will be eager to wear the new ones. Marbury, who grew up across the street from the school, donated items to assist kids with the effort. Students unveiled t-shirts Monday and are expected to have full uniforms ready for the next school year. The line, called Surfside Gear, will include jeans, hats, skirts and other items.
The vice principal says she hopes students will be able to purchase the new uniforms for around $10.
