A group including community leaders, activists and voters rallied for reparations in Bed-Stuy Saturday.
The Kwanzaa Black Power Unity is calling on President-elect Joe Biden to make an executive order in his first 100 days to make a $50 billion down payment for reparations for the enslavement of Black and brown people in the United States.
The group held the rally in honor of the first day of Kwanzaa.
The holiday is a cultural celebration for the African diaspora.
