A fire ripped through a Bronx home Tuesday night leaving multiple families displaced just days before Christmas.
Fire officials say they got the call at 7:46 p.m. Tuesday. In just four minutes, they were on the scene starting to battle the blaze. Despite their quick response and 200 members of the FDNY working to put out the flames, the fire spread to the surrounding homes.
They say four people were hurt and treated at the hospital and all of them expected to be OK. One of the residents that lived in a basement apartment was able to get out safely when he heard people yelling, but left without his shirt or phone.
Still no word on the cause of the fire.
