Law enforcement across the state are increasing patrols ahead of potential violent demonstrations following the storming of the Capitol.

Law enforcement across the state are increasing patrols ahead of potential violent demonstrations following the storming of the Capitol.
State police in Albany say there are no specific threats and News 12 is told there are no specific threats on Long Island either.
Police across Nassau County and Suffolk County are increasing their patrols, monitoring online discussion and securing government buildings just in case.
Long Island residents who planned to go to Washington D.C. for the inauguration have altered their plans due to safety and coronavirus concerns.
“I will be watching from home and my daughter is very excited to see the first woman vice president,” says South Setauket resident Shoshana Hershko.
Others say they are ready to enjoy change happen in the country.
