Long Island University nursing students stepped up to help get their classmates get vaccinated on Friday.

Long Island University nursing students stepped up to help get their classmates get vaccinated on Friday.
Third year nursing students administered the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine to 500 classmates.
Dr. Denise Walsh, the dean of the School of Health Professions and Nursing, says it's important to get more students vaccinated to lessen transmission.
Each nursing student underwent special training on how to administer the vaccines.
