The LIU Brooklyn softball team has captured its 13th Northeast Conference title.
The Lady Blackbirds beat Qunnipiac Saturday in the finals to advance to the NCAA tournament for the ninth time in the last 14 years.
The women face a tough opener in the double elimination tournament, visiting defending champs Arizona State Friday night.
