Local elected officials took to the streets of south Brooklyn on Monday to take in the cultural, historical and recreational offerings that the borough has to offer.
The leaders say they're aiming to raise awareness to those in Brooklyn and across the five boroughs of the many attractions available right in their backyard.
"The marina is basically out of business and we're trying to figure out how to bring the business back to Sheepshead Bay," said state Assembly Member Michael Novakhov. "A friend of mine, he's a sailor... he wants to do sunset cruises, sail cruises, he wants to give free lessons to the kids, free sailing lessons."
