A nearly $35,000 winning lottery ticket was sold at a local grocery store in Sunset Park – and the grocery store has had winners in the past.
Lian Jiang Grocery has an entire wall dedicated to winning tickets sold at their business, but this most recent ticket marks the biggest jackpot yet.
The New York Lottery says that the ticket was part of the Take 5 evening drawing from Thursday night and they stopped by the grocery store to tell the Li sisters the news.
Neighbors have been stopping by to congratulate them, many saying that the Li sisters who work in their mother’s grocery store are good luck charms.
