A Gowanus couple took to its infamous canal waters recently on a canoe ride that they will never forget.
While paddling near the Carroll Street Bridge, Jamison Pence dropped to one knee in the small vessel and proposed to his girlfriend Emma Borochoff.
She was completely shocked and of course said yes.
A few friends were in the area to snap pictures of the big moment.
Even during a pandemic, the couple says it’s important to stay creative.
“Keep it strange, keep it weird – there’s still like a lot of positive stuff out there,” says Pence.
