The daily commute over the Manhattan Bridge is set to get crowded due to the closing of the lower deck.
The Department of Transportation will be repairing the lower level of the bridge, closing all three lanes. It says traffic will be directed to the upper level of the bridge, which will remain open.
The DOT says it also plans to reverse traffic in one lane on the Williamsburg Bridge to create an extra lane for the morning commute. But many Brooklyn drivers say this is just another annoyance during their morning travel.
