Mothers Against Drunk Driving activists gathered on Pelham Parkway to walk in remembrance of a Bronx victim Sunday.
Ian Dawson was killed in a drunk driving crash two years ago. His mother, Nancy, started a walk in her son?s name. Friends and family gathered to educate the community about Dawson?s story in hopes of preventing other accidents.
MADD activists said it?s not just young people what need guidance. ?It?s not only the teenagers. It?s the older ones. It?s the parents allowing house parties when no one?s home,? Nancy Dawson said.
Family members hope to have a band at next year?s walk to honor Ian Dawson and his favorite music.
