As the World Cup continues to entice soccer fans worldwide, one young fan from Brooklyn is experiencing a dream come true.
Keirol Aaron is a 13-year-old from Prospect Park, who was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia, a hereditary blood disorder that affects blood cells and can lead to life-threatening complications.
After being hospitalized, the teen's mother reached out to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to ease her ailing son, who happens to be an avid Brazil fan.
While Aaron is heading off to Brazil, he says that soccer is not just a sport, it is a lifestyle, and more importantly, about trying to be the best.
