Police Commissioner Raymond Kelly has announced today that a man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a 1-year-old boy in Wakefield.
Richard Flood was found unconscious and unresponsive, lying on the living room floor inside his family's apartment on East 232nd Street Wednesday, police say. He was rushed to the hospital, but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The medical examiner has determined that the toddler died from blunt-force injuries to the torso, rib fractures and internal organ injuries.
According to News 12 The Bronx sources, the child also had cigarette burns on his arms.
