A man was assaulted and robbed inside a train station in Bensonhurst.

Police say that the incident happened on Dec. 6 at around 7 p.m. at the 79th Street subway station. A 63-year-old man was leaving the station when two people approached him and took turns punching and kicking him. They took his wallet and escaped.

The victim was taken to Maimonides Medical Center by EMS and is expected to be OK.

Later, the victim discovered unauthorized attempts to use his credit cards.
