The Brooklyn District Attorney’s Office says a man was charged for a shooting in Midwood that left a teen basketball player paralyzed from the waist down.

Isaiah Greaves, 19, is charged with attempted murder. He is accused of shooting 16-year-old Nana Donkor in the back on Nov. 30 at East 16th Street and Avenue J.

News 12 spoke to Donkor’s mother, Daniella Boakye, who says her son was at a football game with a friend at the time of the shooting, which left a bullet lodged in his spine.

Boakye says her son was not believed to be the intended target.

Greaves acted alongside a second suspect who has not been arrested, prosecutors say.

Greaves faces additional charges including assault and criminal possession of a weapon. He is due back in court on Jan. 7.
