Man critically injured in multi-vehicle crash in Gowanus

The collision happened just before 11 a.m. at 296 4th Ave. A man driving a Toyota minivan lost control and struck a Toyota Prius, which collided with an Access-a-Ride bus.

Police say a 27-year-old man is fighting for his life at the hospital after a crash in Gowanus Wednesday.

The collision happened just before 11 a.m. at 296 4th Ave. A man driving a Toyota minivan lost control and struck a Toyota Prius, which collided with an Access-a-Ride bus.

The victim, a passenger of the minivan, was ejected from the car and suffered a head injury, according to authorities.

News 12 crews observed a utility pole knocked out of place at the scene.

EMS took the man to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, where he is listed in critical condition.

A second person suffered minor injuries and was not hospitalized, according to the FDNY.
