The family of a man who died following an alleged hit-and-run in Sunset Park Monday is picking up the pieces and trying to move forward.
It happened at the intersection of 52nd Street and Third Avenue.
Police found 27-year-old Fernando Trejo lying on the roadway with severe trauma to his body.
EMS responded to the location and transported Trejo to NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn where he was pronounced dead Tuesday.
The loss has profoundly impacted Trejo's four kids, wife, parents and brother. The sudden loss has only been magnified as they know the person responsible has not been caught.
The family is continuing to seek justice, asking the person "if (they) have any humanity" to turn themselves in.
