A Queens man was killed in an elevator accident in a Williamsburg apartment building early Friday morning.

Police say officers responded to multiple 911 calls inside 156 Hope St. at around 4:20 a.m. They arrived to find 37-year-old Eran Modan unconscious and unresponsive with visible trauma to the head and body.

EMS arrived shortly after and pronounced Modan dead at the scene.

The Department of Buildings says it is investigating the incident and will perform a full inspection of the elevator during the process.

The elevator passed its most recent inspection in July. No complaints have been filed about the elevator since 2012.
