A 21-year-old man was injured in a shooting near a deli in Fordham Heights on Saturday evening, according to the NYPD.

Police say gunshots rang out just before 6 p.m. near East 187th Street and Grand Concourse.

Citizen app footage from the scene shows the entrance to Lucky 7 Grocery on East 188th Street blocked off with crime scene tape. Moments later, paramedics are seen wheeling the victim out of the deli on a stretcher.

According to investigators, the victim was shot in the right leg.

Paramedics took him to St. Barnabas Hospital, where police say he is expected to recover.

Additional details, including if the shooting happened inside the deli and who may have pulled the trigger were not immediately available.

The NYPD says the victim is not cooperating with the investigation.
