A 41-year-old man was shot late Tuesday night near the Whitman Houses in Fort Greene, according to police.
The shooting happened around 11:30 p.m. at the intersection of Auburn Place and North Portland Avenue.
Police say the man was hit several times in the stomach.
He was taken to Methodist Hospital and is in stable condition.
As of Wednesday morning, no arrests have been made, and no suspect description has been released.
Officers remained on the scene into the early morning hours searching for evidence.
