Man shot outside Memorial Day barbecue in Bed-Stuy
Police say it happened just before 11 p.m. outside 203 Sumpter St., near Rockaway Avenue.

A 30-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting in Bed-Stuy late Monday night.
Police say it happened just before 11 p.m. outside 203 Sumpter St., near Rockaway Avenue.
Officers responded to find the man with gunshot wounds to his chest and leg.
He was taken to Brookdale Hospital by EMS.
Video from the scene shows what appeared to be a sidewalk barbecue just moments before the gunfire.
A grill was found turned over on the pavement with food left behind.
Plastic cups were placed over shell casings on both the sidewalk and the street as detectives marked evidence.
Police say Nasir Pinsett, 22, was arrested less than 30 minutes after the shooting. He is facing several weapons-related charges.
