Police say a man was stabbed in the back during an attempted robbery on Monday.

Police say it all unfolded outside of a pharmacy on the corner of Flatlands Avenue and 88th Street.

When first responders arrived to the scene, they found a man stabbed in the back and rushed him to Brookdale Medical Center. He is in stable condition.

It is unclear if this was a targeted or random attack.

The suspect is described as a man in his 30s, and about 5 feet, 9 inches tall. The man was last seen wearing a hospital mask and dark blue jean shorts with a black Iron Maiden shirt.
