The NYPD is searching for a man they say struck another man with a car inside an autobody shop in Eastchester. Police sources say the victim is an employee at the shop.

Authorities say the assault happened on Oct. 30 around 2 p.m. inside 701 Auto Repair Shop, located at 1611 East 233rd St.

The man became enraged while arguing with the 51-year-old about the inspection of a gray Nissan Rogue. Police say the assailant then drove the Nissan toward the man, striking him.

EMS took the 51-year-old to NYC Health and Hospitals/Jacobi. Authorities say he suffered serious injuries but is expected to recover.

The suspect is approximately 25 to 35 years old and was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, a tan jacket and black pants with white and gray sneakers.
