Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz delivered his second to last State of the Borough address Thursday night and outlined his plans for 2008.
Markowitz announced the location for the High School of Innovation in Advertising and Media will be Canarsie High School. He says the school will help minority students break into those fields and will open in the fall.
Markowitz told the audience the city picked a designer for New York?s first amphitheater, which will be built at Asser Levy Park.
Markowitz also pushed the need for a Brooklyn board of directors for the New York Aquarium.
Lastly, the borough president thanked the NYPD?s hate crime unit for its work in catching the individual who allegedly painted swastikas in the Brooklyn Heights neighborhood.
Markowitz closed his address without saying whether he would make a run for mayor.
