An auction is underway at Lelands Sports Memorabilia in Matawan that will send the highest bidders the letters, promissory notes and documents pertaining to the biggest transaction in sports history - the sale of Babe Ruth from the Boston Red Sox to the New York Yankees.

The auction is taking place on Lelands’s website and ends Saturday night.
