Mayor Adams, NYPD honor officers who recently saved lives
Mayor Eric Adams and Police Commissioner Edward Caban honored a group of police officers for their bravery and lifesaving acts in three separate October incidents.
“It takes courage, conviction and compassion, and the officers we’re honoring today are perfect proof of that,” said Caban. “When that call came, they answered it. They didn’t hesitate, they acted.”
Adams says that the NYPD’s hard work has been reflected as crime is down in five of the seven major crime categories and on the decline citywide.
