Mayor Eric Adams gathered senior leadership from across his administration on Tuesday to discuss a number of topics, including the ongoing migrant crisis.
The mayor says that the city currently has just under 64,000 migrants in their care, and that migrants are arriving more quickly.
"The team is just really pulling off miracles," said Mayor Adams. "My No. 1 agenda has always been so we don't have children and families sleeping on the streets of NYC."
Adams added that the number of migrants arriving has increased from 2,400 per week and reiterated the need for help from the federal government.
