New Yorkers looking to start or maintain startup companies now have a new high-tech tool.
Mayor Bill de Blasio announced the unveiling of Digital NYC Tuesday at a warehouse in DUMBO. The website is intended to serve as a centralized hub for the city's tech industry.
The site, which is now publicly up and running, has information and resources to help turn ideas into businesses. It will provide updates about early stage tech and digital job openings and classes in the city, as well as provide information that lets companies know about open workspaces and ways they can connect to other startups.
De Blasio says Brooklyn is a creative borough that has been a leader in the startup world. He also says that although the website is a step in the right direction, there is still a lot more room for growth in this field.
