Days after an armed robbery of a truck storing students' cell phones outside of a school, Mayor Michael Bloomberg says he won?t support a plan to end the ban of cell phones in schools.
Police say two armed robbers stole 22 cell phones from a storage truck parked on Bronxwood Avenue last week.Bloomberg said he wants to ensure students keep their attention in class and not on their phones.Anyone with information about the cell phone robbery is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
