A Memorial Day concert was held Monday afternoon at Green-Wood Cemetery.
It was the 20th annual concert at the cemetery, which has an important place in American war and music history.
Hundreds gathered in the seats and on the nearby Battle Hill, which is dedicated to the American Revolutionary War and Civil War memorials.
Monday's concert was a special centennial celebration of Leonard Bernstein, who was born in 1918. There were performances from the ISO symphony orchestra and the ISO wind symphony, as well as professional opera singers. Many of the composers honored at the event, including Bernstein, are buried at Green-Wood.
