The overnight is partly cloudy and breezy.
Temperatures take a deep plummet for Wednesday, only warming up into the higher 60s.
Lows Wednesday night into Thursday morning will feel chilly and brisk, dropping all the way to the lower 50s. Brr!
Thursday is even cooler with temperatures at their warmest in the mid-60s and at their lowest in the lower 50s again.
A subtle warm up is anticipated for Friday, back to the lower 70s with a steep climb into the weekend. Highs in the higher 70s and lower 80s are expected.
Rain wise? Wednesday? Nope. Thursday? No. Friday? Nada. The weekend? Not likely. A dry stretch is expected and while that's lovely for outdoor plans and easy commutes to work and school, we could certainly use some significant rain and soon.
Drought conditions will need to be monitored over the next several weeks. Our borough is already seeing areas of moderate drought.
Tracking the Tropics: We continue to monitor TWO hurricanes in the Atlantic.
Hurricane Humberto is weakening, whereas Hurricane Imelda has strengthened. Both Hurricanes are currently a Category 1.
For our area, we will not see any direct effects. However, we will be affected indirectly through winds and waves.
Rough marine conditions are expected, with waves between 5-8 feet at times, gusts up to 30 mph, and the potential for life threatening rip currents.
