A Brooklyn man who was last seen hiking in Mexico was found dead Friday.
Search crews found the body of Hari Simran Singh Khalsa, 25, in a narrow ravine near the town of Tepoztlan.
The man and his wife were at a yoga retreat for the holidays when he went for a hike in Central Mexico Tuesday. He had sent his wife a text from the mountains of Tepoztlan, saying he was lost and that she should save him lunch, but he never returned.
Hundreds of people had been searching for him in Mexico, including his father. His mother, who lives in Park Slope, had been at home praying for his safe return.
The family had been waiting for a cellphone company in Mexico to help track the location of Simran's last text, and the website #FindHariSimran had been set up in hope that donations would assist in the search.
