An Ecuadorean man with special needs who had been missing since Friday was reunited with his family from Brooklyn Monday.
Police said Geovanny Gonzalez, 26, who is visiting his family in New York, was found at a Queens hospital. Authorities didn't release any immediate information about his condition.
Gonzalez, who suffers from epilepsy and has seizures without his medication, is mentally disabled, according to his family, and doesn't speak English. He disappeared from his family's store on Wyckoff Avenue on Friday.
His relatives and neighbors put up fliers and searched for Gonzalez. Neighbors said the family rushed from their neighborhood store, leaving the missing fliers posted in the windows, as they left to be reunited with Gonzalez.
"All of the neighbors were very sad," neighbor Bena Rivera said about Gonzalez's disappearance. "We were all desperate, but thank God he's been found."
Police are investigating how Gonzalez arrived at the Queens hospital.
