Disabled commuters in Williamsburg will have an easier time getting to their train, thanks to new additions to the Metropolitan Avenue/Lorimer Street subway station.
Quemel Arroyo says taking the train to Williamsburg was impossible.
"It was a bus or Paratransit. I'm so happy that today we brought the 151 station, the fourth and fifth accessible station in this community," said Arroyo.
The station is now ADA compliant, outfitted with an elevator. However, the transfer from the L to the G isn't fully accessible.
According to MTA data, Brooklyn has over 30 ADA compliant stations. See the full list of those stations here.
