The NYPD has identified the motorcyclist struck and killed by an FDNY truck that was responding to a call.

Police say the victim was identified as 30-year-old Valentin Ivancsuk. Police tell News 12 the incident happened in Marine Park just before midnight on Sunday.

Neighbors like Shaquia Iverson say they were shocked to hear the news.

"I've seen a lot of accidents around here. It's very sad that it happened to the motorcyclist. I feel really bad for his family," says Iverson.

Investigators say Valentin was riding his motorcycle westbound on Avenue U when a fire truck, with lights and sirens activated, collided with him at the intersection with Flatbush Avenue.

Ivancsuk was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire truck remained at the location following the crash, according to police.
