With less than a month until congestion pricing takes effect, the MTA is now sharing new details on discounts and exemptions.
If you have a disability or health condition preventing you from using public transit, you can apply for an exemption. You won't be charged for driving into the “congestion relief zone.” This exemption can also be applied to the car of any family member or caregiver who drives instead.
Additionally, the MTA is offering a 50% discount for low-income drivers after the first ten times you drive into the zone each month.
