An off-duty MTA bus driver was charged with DWI Sunday.

The incident happened around 1 a.m.

The MTA says 45-year-old Edward Acosta, from Staten Island, was arrested for operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol.

Officials say Acosta was not working at the time of his arrest.
