The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) says it will begin selling ad space on MetroCards, in a push to increase revenue.
The MTA says it will accept almost any ad, including political ads, as long as they do not feature nudity or obscenities. The ads will appear on the front of the cards, just above the magnetic stripe.
The MTA says that it will cost at least $20,000 to have an ad printed on MetroCards.
