The annual Mulchfest has returned to provide Brooklyn residents with an alternative way to dispose of their Christmas trees.
Brooklyn residents can bring their trees to Greenwood Cemetery for the fourth annual Mulchfest. Borough President Marty Markowitz lent a helping hand as the Borough Hall tree was sent through the chipper. Free hot chocolate was also available to those who turned out to recycle their trees.
Brooklyn residents will have until January 15 to bring their tree to Greenwood Cemetery.
