Stores along Fourth Avenue and Bergen Street in Park Slope say they have only partial power and no heat after two manhole fires broke out Saturday morning.
Citizen app video shows firefighters extinguishing the fires around 9 a.m.
“Since that time, we have half power. We can’t turn heat on or anything — it’s super cold in the store…We’re worried about our supplies,” said Usmam, owner of Canteen Deli and Cafe.
A Con Edison spokesperson told News 12 that recent snow and road salt mixed with underground wires, causing an increase in manhole fires in the borough.
