The NYPD says a fire that broke out inside an East Flatbush lot on Wednesday.
The owners of Fame Auto Group say two of their brand-new tow trucks were set on fire just before 5 a.m.
“We try to do right by our customers we’re hardworking people, to have something like this happen to a small body shop like ours…what did we do to you?" said Josh, head of marketing at Fame Auto Group.
Surveillance footage shows the moment the tow trucks caught fire.
Flames eventually spread to adjoining vehicles.
“Literally just wrapped the trucks like a week ago, got our license and wake up to this," said Avi Rosenfeld, CEO of Fame Auto Group.
Two of the three men behind the shop are Jewish. They pointed out that the morning the fire occurred was Yom Kippur.
“So, the morning of the holiday we see this happen to us, we’re so confused is it targeting, what’s next to come for us?" said Henry, of Fame Auto Group.
At this time, no arrests have been made.
