Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week is now underway in Brooklyn, offering foodies a variety of dishes, from Mexican to Italian and everything in between.
The event offers food aficionados different types of three-course meals.
Mexican eatery Casa Nono is one of the 15 restaurants participating in the event. Customers can get a three-course meal for $20, $30 or $40 -- price point organizers say can fit in everyone's budget.
"February is a hard time for restaurants. It's after the holiday season, the weather's not so nice, and so we really wanted to do something to make sure that we were getting folks in, getting the foot traffic on Myrtle Avenue," says Amanda Zenteno, executive director of the Myrtle Avenue Brooklyn Partnership.
Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week was created last year as a way to support the community, and this year's is the biggest one yet.
"Small business owners need support. We need to have people here on the avenue. It's a vibrant community, but without their support, we're nothing. So we really need to bring them here to experience it, to enjoy it," says James Hoban, special projects manager of the Myrtle Avenue Partnership.
Participating restaurants can be found along Myrtle Avenue in Fort Greene and Clinton Hill.
Myrtle Avenue Restaurant Week runs until Feb. 25.
