The 'Save a Life Tour' -- a national safe driving program that advocates against distracted driving is making a stop at Fairchild Wheeler Inter-district Magnet High School today.
The tour is a national program that advocates for safe driving awareness at high schools and colleges across the country.
Students experience the dangers of texting and driving through a virtual simulation, and before they head back to class, they sign a pledge to keep their eyes on the road.
The program is funded through the state Department of Transportation.
The Save a Life Tour will be at Fairchild Wheeler for two days and then visit schools in Stamford and Norwalk by the end of the year.
