A neighborhood is on alert as police connect a string of armed robberies to one suspect.
The suspect is said to have committed a total of four robberies dating back to January, with the most recent incident taking place by Prospect Place and Carlton Avenue last week.
Police connected the robberies after a pattern emerged. In all the cases, they say the suspect approaches elderly women, attacks them with a gun or knife, and then forcibly takes hundreds of dollars.
People in the area tell News 12 they're disgusted that someone would attack the elderly.
The suspect is described as 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 250 pounds.
Borough President Eric Adams is offering a $3,500 reward for information leading to his arrest.
