New Bed-Stuy bar offers music lovers the chance to sing their hearts out
A new spot in Bed-Stuy offers customers comfort food, drinks and opportunities to sing their hearts out.
Aux Karaoke Bar on Fulton Street opened two months ago. It's the first of its kind in the neighborhood. Owner Martin Glenn says this has been a dream of his for years.
"It's amazing to see the dream come true, but at the same time it's not really for me. It's for everybody. I want people to come in, and I think everyone that comes in really enjoys it," he says.
Aux Karaoke Bar has five rooms, each with a different vibe that offers a different genre of music to customers.
Bargoers who walk down a hallway will encounter a speakeasy behind a door at its very end.
The space transforms into whatever customers want it to be.
"I just want people to come in and experience it. I think once people come in the doors, they realize it's a bar for music lovers. It's just a great community vibe," Glenn says.
Aux Karaoke Bar is open six days a week from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m., sometimes 2 a.m.
