The Brooklyn Army Terminal turned into a red-carpet affair on Wednesday, as nearly 100 Holocaust survivors were taken aboard a cruise.
The cruise provides the survivors a chance to come together and connect with others who understand a reality that very few people do.
"Seeing survivors who went through it all who didn't give up, they decided to rebuild and rebuild even stronger than before,” said Avi Greenstein, CEO of the Borough Park Jewish Community Council. “It’s a message of resilience, a message of strength."
