New Mohegan Avenue retaining wall completed in Yorktown

The new Mohegan Avenue retaining wall is now complete in Yorktown.

Crews replaced 600 feet of retaining wall along Mohegan Lake with erosion and sediment-control devices to protect the water quality.

Yorktown officials say the improvement is another example of how the town continues to push toward eco-friendliness.

They say the work was completed by an Ossining contractor under the proposed budget, and about three weeks ahead of schedule.
