A new music venue is coming soon to Bushwick, and its founders hope it will be a space for emerging artists.
The space, dubbed Elsewhere, includes two areas for musical performances. One fits 600 people and the second fits smaller crowds of up to 200. There's also an art gallery space, and a cafe area is under construction where people can hang out before and after shows.
Elsewhere's three founders selected the Bushwick location because it's close to the Jefferson Street stop and not near neighbors. They say with rising rent costs, there have been limited spots for emerging talent to perform.
The finishing touches are being added to the space, and Elsewhere plans to open in November.
