The New York Botanical Gardens hosted an event Saturday in honor of Pride Month.
Visitors had the opportunity to appreciate the flowers while listening to a live musical performance by Garth, a musician with over five million streams on Spotify.
"I actually shot my first album's artwork inside here, so it's kind of nice to be back five years later," Garth said.
Staff at the location said the event is meant to honor the LGBTQ+ community's contributions to the botanical world.
Other activities included a Bronx Fashion Week show that featured looks by Dominican designer Victor Lopez.
"Exquisite clothing. Absolutely breath-taking. We're honored to be working with him. Our missions align. It's about inclusivity and diversity in the Bronx. It's a perfect match," said Bronx Fashion Week Director Flora Montez.
Attendees also got to learn about flower arranging with resident florist Joshua Weber and lessons about plants that represent pride colors.
"We were looking for artists that really related to the contents of the exhibition, and being prideful and having pride this month," said the garden's program director, Thomas Mulhare.
Visitors were also able to make their own pride pins and receive Pride Flag tattoos.
